Saturday saw the opening of our Xmas show featuring Sue Nichol, Paula Dunn and Julia Odell.

And what a start it was, I must admit I am chuffed to bits with the art on display but being the gallery manager I would say that :-) Its always refreshing to hang a new exhibition of work but its even better when the quality of work is a high standard and makes my job very easy.

On display we have some new framed limited edition prints from Paula Dunn. After months of badgering her to produce some larger images Paula finally caved and did some, and I must say they look epic. We have a few different images and they come in at £160 framed.

As well as the new prints Paula had managed to find time to paint me two new images of Top Withens, they are great and well worth popping into the gallery when you get chance to see.

Also adding to the Xmas show is a collection of new work for Sue Nichol, more known in the gallery for her paintings of Staithes this collection of original paintings has pushed out further afield including images of Robin Hood’s Bay, Holkham Bay and Windmills in Norfolk. Sue has also produced a 2015 calender, it includes images of her most recent work and at £12 could make a great gift.

Finishing off the Fantastic list of artists is the wonderful Julia Odell, and she has send us a collection of three new paintings and three new Charcoal drawings, two are of Dunstanburgh Castle and the last is of Lindesfarne. After a trip to the East Coast earlier this year Julia was inspired to produce this recent work which looks spectacular in the gallery. Adding these to a collection of smaller framed prints her work is simply unmissable.

All work is on display until the end of January and we are open the next three Sundays (7th, 14th and 21st). Don’t forget we have our Victorian indoor market which is on the same day as the Otley Victorian Fair doors open at 11am till 6pm.
